EVENTS
This page lists some future and recent ACJR events and sometimes also others that may be of particular interest to ACJR members.
Some of the events on this page (lower down the list) have already taken place. They are shown here to illustrate the range of events that we have.
- The AGM, 2008. This year's AGM will be on Sunday 12 October in the afternoon, at a venue in West Hampstead.
- This year's barbecue will be in September in Pinner. The BBQ is always a popular event and usually attracts at least 20 members, sometimes twice that number.
- Simcha on the Square, 14 September 2008
This is not an "official" ACJR event but might interest you. This annual event in Trafalgar Square (London) is a celebration of Jewish culture. Visitors can taste Jewish food, listen to Klezmer music, watch Jewish performers and participate in Israeli dancing. Admission is free. The event has its own Web site, at http://www.simcha.org.uk/.
ACJR Meals Out
We meet for a meal in a restaurant s few times per year, not always on the same day of the week. Usually there are 4 to 6 people at these meals,
sometimes a dozen.
Some recent events
- Sunday 20 July 2008. About 30 members and friends came to our nearly-every-year country walk near Reading with a pub lunch before the walk. This year's enjoyed weather that was just right - sunny but not too hot.
- Sunday 20 April 2008. Over 20 members and friends came to the ACJR's annual 2nd Seder night (Passover) which was held in West Hampstead.
